4 months and 19 days..............

I was lucky enough tonight to be able to get to the Tridentine Mass again...totally love it. Tis very different to the Mass I go to at 9am on a Sunday (and also love more than words can say...I don't have favourites...both are a beautiful, moving, powerful prayer and a profound experience with God...how can one bet better than t'other?) but that doesn't worry me. In fact if I'd missed it I'd have been well upset. It's taken me quite a long time to get to grips with how that Latin Mass works but tonight I was (finally) able to enter into the prayerfulness of it properly and keep up with where Fr. Jonathan was! You know...there is one little thing that I do, very slightly, prefer in the EF to the OF (now I'm just showing off by pretending to know the different names of things...) and that's that fact that when you receive Communion or (like me) a blessing you kneel on the Sanctuary. I just think it's such a wonderful moment, physically humbling yourself whilst being so unbelievably close to the Lord...so, so very small and insignificant and sinful but oh, so priveliged, loved and special all in the shortest but most precious of moments. Knocks your socks off!

Oh and by the way...tis only 4 months and 19 days...WOOHOO!!
